It was noted that the weakening of demand for loans in the context of the pandemic affects the dynamics of deposit interest, which is the main source of banks' resources.

"Further decisions on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be made taking into account the consequences of the pandemic, the pace of economic recovery, the likelihood of internal and external risks," the CBA says.
