Azerbaijan Railways’ head: Passenger trains via rail route Baku-Tbilisi-Kars to operate from June

February 22, Fineko/abc.az. Passenger carriages via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route may start from June.

Azerbaijani Railways’ chair Javid Gurbanov told to journalists within the Vienna international railway business forum "Strategic partnership 1520: Central Europe" passenger transportation to Turkish city of Kars at the primary stage.

"Before the start of international transportation, it is necessary to resolve some technical issues relating to the gauge size. A relevant order of Swiss company Stadler has already been made," Gurbanov said.
