December 30, Fineko/abc.az. The footage of the burning of the body of a captured Azerbaijani serviceman by Armenian armed forces appeared on social networks and other information sources, ABC.AZ was informed at the Ombudsman’s Administration Office.

These images show how the body of the captured Azerbaijani serviceman is doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire.

"It is clear from the published materials that the Armenian side, by burning the body of an Azerbaijani serviceman, still continues to grossly violate the requirements of the Geneva Conventions and other norms of humanitarian law, to which it is a party. We believe the Armenian military burned the corpse of the Azerbaijani soldier to hide the inhumane and dirty actions committed on him. By joining the Third Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, Armenia has committed itself to treat prisoners of war humanely."
