January 15, Fineko/abc.az. I’m very glad that in recent years a young generation has grown up in Azerbaijan, brought up in a patriotic, strong, national spirit.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in his speech on the Jidir plain.

The head of state said that he has been leading Azerbaijan for 17 years:

"People who have grown up over these years have liberated these lands. Our citizens of all generations have put a lot of work, their share in this victory. But I must also say that the main burden, the main task was performed by the younger generation. Those who were 10–15 years old in 2003 are now 27-32 years old. It was their patriotic upbringing and hatred of the enemy that led us to victory and restored the historical justice of Azerbaijan. The younger generation, the older generation, people with experience, all our people, representatives of all ethnic groups, representatives of all religions are united in one fist."
