Another 700 buses of Baku to apply noncash fare payment system

February 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Transport Agency (BNA) keeps on optimizing the bus routes of the Azerbaijani capital.

Advisor to the head of BNA Mubariz Abbasov stated that as part of optimization, the number of buses has been reduced from 157 to 146 and work in this direction is still underway.

"Besides, as part of improvement of quality of public transport services, we are taking measures aimed at encouraging the system of cashless fare payment. Currently, such system is applied in 500 buses, and until the end of 2018 another 700 buses (21 bus routes) will be installed system of non-cash payment," Abbasov added.
