February 15, Fineko/abc.az. Cargo deliveries between Russia and Turkey have already begun as a result of the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated about this during his speech in village Gulebird of Lachin district as part of his visit to the Fizuli, Zangilan, Lachin and Jabrayil districts with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and daughter Leyla Aliyeva.

"We showed great foresight, great will. At that, we’ve mobilized financial resources, and we are providing these rail links. This is necessary for our country, as it increases the geopolitical importance of our country, increases its economic power, and we, as a reliable transit country, will receive large financial revenues from this. This is also of great importance for ensuring stability and peace in the region," the president added.
