Visa regime between Azerbaijan and Turkey canceled

February 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed the law on the approval of Protocol #1 between the Azerbaijani and Turkish governments on the amendments to the Agreement signed in Baku on 25 February 2020 on mutual visa exemption between the two countries’ governments.

ABC.AZ reports that the law provides for Azerbaijani citizens to travel to Turkey with an identity card as part of a visa-free travel.

Thus, according to the law, the ID of an Azerbaijani citizen is included in the list of documents for crossing the border that are valid for visa-free travel for Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Turkey.

This also applies to the visits of Turkish citizens to Azerbaijan.

Citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey have the right to travel for a period of 90 days.
