April 30, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov has held an online press conference on the announcement of the parameters of the interest rate corridor.

ABC.AZ reports that at the press conference he explained a range of important points.

According to Rustamov, the increase in food prices also has stimulating effect on inflation.

“The 12-month inflation was 4.1% in March 2021 and the average annual core inflation was 2.2% in the 1st quarter. The dynamics of inflation was influenced by non-monetary factors. The dynamics of actual inflation over the past few months also affected inflation expectations. According to the real sector monitoring, inflation expectations rose in March in the non-oil industry, trade and construction sectors, while in the services sector they declined. According to surveys organized in March among households, 25% of the respondents indicate an increase in inflation," CBA’s chair informed.
