May 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet Ministers has made a decision to reimburse the cost of tuition fees of students from families belonging to a vulnerable group of the population, ABC.AZ reports citing Education Minister Emin Amrullayev.

The minister says that according to the new amendment to the decision, the State will also pay for the education of students who are members of socially vulnerable families and receive paid education in the spring semester (half-year) of the 2020/21 academic year. AZN 14 million will be allocated for this purpose.

According to the minister, the education of 15,209 people was paid in the 2nd half of the 2019/20 academic year and 15,900 people in the 1st half of the 2020/21 academic year.

"Last year, 20,800 students took advantage of this opportunity," the minister emphasized.
