April 10, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has declared about passivity of local entrepreneurs.

At Cabinet’s recent meeting the country’s leader stated that entrepreneurs need support and should be shown the way of activity development.

"Often they show passivity, display no initiative, are lazy even to export abroad the grown products. They wait for someone to come, give a knock to them and buy their products. But entrepreneurs should themselves look for markets, sign contracts and organize relations. Even on the television of foreign countries, we advertise agricultural products at the expense of the state. They don't do that either. Let them to begin acting although now. The government makes so much effort, provides support, allocates funds, and provides political support. So, if we had not started this work, today nothing of this would have happened, $2.8 bn and AZN 2.3 bn would not have been invested, agricultural production would not have increased, such a number of jobs would not have been created, and 200,000 people would not have been provided with jobs in the cotton farming alone. These are the real results of our decisions," President Aliyev emphasized.
