SOCAR invests $1 bn in Pakistan?

November 24, Fineko/abc.az. The news that SOCAR is investing $1 billion in Pakistan is not true.
 
ABC.AZ reports that this was announced on Facebook by Ibrahim Akhmedov, deputy head of the SOCAR Public Relations & Event Organization Department. According to Akhmedov, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan has already clarified this in an official statement made yesterday: "Mr. Ambassador actually discussed at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry the possibilities of expanding trade relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan."
 
Akhmedov noted that today SOCAR has no new investment solutions in any foreign countries.
