April 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has delivered speech at the inauguration ceremony.

The head of state said that democratic development in Azerbaijan has been progressing at rapid pace for the last 15 years.

"We’ve deepened political reforms and ensured all freedoms - freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of political activity. I’d like to underline that 80% of Azerbaijani citizens are Internet users and Internet is free in our country. In particular, policy of democratic development is correct and our national interests are ensured. We do it not for the fact that someone like it but for deepening of political reforms to for making country's citizens to be owners of their own destiny, and the election results proved it again," President Aliyev said.
