The Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan reports an increase in the flow of tourists to the country for Jan-Sept of the year.

Deputy Culture & Tourism Minister Nazim Samedov of Azerbaijan has stated that for Jan-Sept the inflow of tourists to the country rose by 21% and this figure is going to rise further until the end of the year.

"During the reporting term the country was visited by 2.071 million foreign citizens," the deputy minister said.

He added that an increase of tourist inflow has also been observed in the sphere of domestic tourism where growth reached 20% and more than 860,000 people rested in the regions of the country for June and August alone.

"The overall indicator of both internal and external tourism makes up 3 million people," the deputy minister said.
