Groundbreaking ceremony of a road bridge on Azerbaijan-Russia border conducted

The ceremony of laying the foundation of a road bridge across the Samur River has been held today.

State-run road company Azeravtoyol reports that Minister of Transport, Communications & High Technology Ramin Guluzade and Azeravtoyol’s vice chairman Avaz Gojayev represented Azerbaijan and Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov represented Russia in the ceremony.

"The groundbreaking ceremony took place on the territory of Magaramkent district of Dagestan at the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint," the Company informed.

The bridge road will have two lanes. Length of the bridge will be 325.3 m, width 17.3 m, and seismic stability of the bridge 10 points.
