Fingerprint scanner improved

January 17, Fineko/abc.az. Qualcomm has improved its first-generation fingerprint recognition technology called 3D Sonic Sensor.

ABC.AZ reports that now fingerprint scanning to unlock the phone will be 50% faster.

The new 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 measures 8x8 mm compared to the 4x9 mm of the first generation model. This means that the recognition surface area has been increased by 77%.

This allows you to collect more data (1.7 times) with each scan.

The main achievement of the engineers is that the new technology scans the fingerprint twice as fast as the previous one.
