May 1, Fineko/abc.az. Overhaul of the main tracks on the main railway routes of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) continues.

ADY reports that 40 km of the main tracks of railroad line Alat-Osmanli-Astara have been initially-repaired within the the North-South project framework from 18 March by the P-65 building materials.

Demiryolservis LLC has already repaired 4.1 km of tracks on single-track line Shirvan-Sortivorochnaya–Shirvan and station Shirvan-Glavnaya station.  Currently capital repairs of 6.7 km of tracks on section Garagune-Shirvan-Sortirovochnaya is underway," ADY said.

The last time when capital repairing was carried out on this section took place in 1968. The current work is of great importance in accord with promising projects of the railway line, taking into account expected activation of railway traffic in this direction in the near future.
