16 banks report growth of interest expenses in Azerbaijan

February 24, Fineko/abc.az. The interest expenditures of 10 out of the 26 banks operating in Azerbaijan were less last year than in 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that among the 10 banks are: Xalq Bank, Azer-Turk Bank, Express Bank, Bank Avrasiya, AFB Bank, Premium Bank, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan, as well as the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan.

The largest decrease was recorded on Premium Bank (26.8%) and the smallest on Xalq Bank (0.4%).

The remaining 16 banks increased interest expenses. The highest dynamics was recorded on Bank VTB Azerbaijan (49.6%) and the lowest on Yelo Bank (3.5%).
