February 24, Fineko/abc.az. During his visit to Russia on 23 February President Ilham Aliyev met with the heads of the country's leading mass media at the TASS news agency.

ABC.AZ reports that during the meeting the Azerbaijani head of state touched upon a number of important issues.

He noted that the principle of "green energy” will be taken as a basis for the resettlement of internally displaced persons to the liberated territories.

"The entire zone of Karabakh and Eastern Zengezur will be a zone of green energy and the concept of "smart cities" and "smart villages". These people have been waiting for a very long time, so they should live in the best conditions possible in Azerbaijan. I can't call specific dates, even at meetings with them, I can't disorient. But we are doing everything - daily, hourly - to speed up this process. But, of course, we need help, specifically in terms of mine clearance, not even financial, but technical. We just don't have time physically. We have a Mine Clearance Agency, we have several battalions in the Ministry of Defense, there is a group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. But physically it is not enough, because it is a very slow process. Therefore, we have appealed to international organizations to assist us, but, unfortunately, a year and three months have passed, so far all this has not been answered," the president stressed.
