Azerbaijan approved a state wine-making program

May 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the approval of the State Winemaking Development Program of Azerbaijan 2018-25.

The Program is aimed at developing winemaking in the country, increasing the profitability of this sector and export potential.

One of the tasks is to increase export of wine products by 5 times by 2025.

The Cabinet Ministers is tasked to take the necessary measures together with relevant executive authorities to ensure implementation of the Program. The Ministry of Economy will coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture the fulfillment of the envisaged measures and inform the President of Azerbaijan once a year on the implementation of the Program.
