Azerbaijan is represented at 67th meeting of Council for Rail Transport of CIS & Baltic States

The 67th meeting of the Council for Rail Transport of CIS & Baltic States is taking place in Riga, Latvia.

Azerbaijani Railways (ADY) reports that a delegation led by ADY chairman Javid Gurbanov is participating in the event.

During the meeting the parties will discuss the following questions: fulfillment of decisions of the 66th meeting of the Council and the results of operational work of the railway network for the first 9 months of 2017; the results of work of passenger complex in international traffic for the first 9 months of 2017; the results of making the train schedule, the plan of formation of freight trains and the plan of the formation of wagons with containers in international traffic for 2017/18; the results of the census of freight cars conducted in May 2017, and preliminary results of the census of containers, conducted in September 2017; the state of mutual settlements between railway administrations for the first 8 months of 2017; the agreement between the railway administrations of the participating states of the CIS, Latvian Republic, Lithuanian Republic, Estonian Republic about features of application of separate regulations of the Agreement on International Goods Transport by Rail; tariff policy of railways for cargo transportation in the international communication for freight year 2018; research & development plan of the railway administrations; the cost estimates for the operation of the Directorate of the Council for 2018; the cost estimates for the operation of the Information & Computer Center of Railway Administrations, including the recovery of expenditures of Main Computer Center – branch of RZD for 2018; distribution of the sign of ‘Honorary Railroadman’ in 2018; agenda, date and venue of the 68th meeting of the Council.

The Final Protocol will be signed upon completion of the event.

Azerbaijan Railways has been a member of the Council for Rail Transport of CIS & Baltic States since 1992.
