April 6, Fineko/abc.az. As a result of the investigation conducted by the Extra-Departmental Security Department of the Prosecutor General's Office, three criminal cases were initiated on the territory of the Geranboy, Ismailli and Zagatala districts for illegal tree felling.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Prosecutor General's Office that also in the Masalli and Khazar districts of Baku, three criminal cases have been initiated for violating the rules of the subsoil of the earth and land seizure.

In view of the establishment of cases of illegal felling of trees and extraction of sand and gravel as a result of abuse of official powers by relevant officials, criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 188.1 (violation of the right of ownership, use or lease of land), 255.1 (violation of the rules for the protection and use of subsoil), 259.1, 259.2.4 (illegal felling of trees) and 308.1 (abuse of official powers) and sent to the investigative units of district prosecutor's offices and internal affairs bodies for investigation.
