May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Jalilabad district of Azerbaijan produced 12,440 tons of strawberries from an area of 490 hectares and directed 4,018 tons for export last year.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced at a meeting of the Jalilabad District Executive Power.

The strawberry export brought $7,144 to the state. This year it is planned to export 5,000 tons of strawberries produced on 607 hectares. Strawberry production is to increase up to 20,000 tons.

In addition, the strawberry varieties produced in the district will be presented at the festival to be held at 11 am on 29 May 2022, in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Jalilabad.

The event will be attended by agricultural companies, acquaintance with local brands and famous restaurants of the region, tasting of local dishes, entertainment program, master classes of chefs, etc.
