June 7, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with Azerbaijan's F1 races in Baku, the prices in hotels located in the center of the capital have sharply increased, ABC.AZ reports with reference by Samir Dubendi, the chairman of board of the Azerbaijan Hotels & Restaurants Association.

Tourists come from a range of European and other countries. This affects the prices of both hotels and rental housing.

"According to our monitoring, there are practically no places in chain hotels located above and next to the road. In some other five-star hotels there is an increase in prices. Some hotels located in the city center and in Icheri Sheher have raised prices on competition days tenfold compared to prices on normal days. Naturally, hotel prices are rising at such competitions. This is observed all over the world," he said.
