Russia’s international reserves decreased by $5.6 bn this May

June 8, Fineko/abc.az. Russia's international reserves declined by $5.6 bn in May and by $43.2 bn since the beginning of the year.

ABC.AZ reports that as of 1 June 2022 they amounted to $587.4 bn against $593.05 bn as of 1 May 2022.

The Jan-May 2022 reduction ($43.204 billion) significantly exceeds the entire growth in 2021 ($34.85 bn).

Against the background of the events in Ukraine and related sanctions, the Bank of Russia has already suspended the publication of information on reserves.
