Abulfas Garayev: We could not bring the beaches to the Blue Flag level this year

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan assessed the implementation of the Action Plan for the development of beach tourism in 2017-2020.

Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev stated that it was not possible to bring the country's beaches to the Blue Flag level this season.

"The work is ongoing and will continue in the next beach season, but it should be noted that the number of accidents on the beaches of the country has decreased," the minister said.

The Blue Flag is an international award conferred annually on beaches and wharfs since 1987, for the high quality of water and suitability for sun bathing.
