July 18, Fineko/abc.az. The country has adopted state standard AZS 914:2022 "Kosher food. General guidelines" for determining the requirements for the preparation and certification of food products in accordance with the rules of kosher food inherent in the Jewish people, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision the under the Ministry of Economy.

The draft standard, developed with the support of the Azerbaijani community of mountain Jews, was approved by public law legal entity Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization and entered into the State Register of Normative Documents on Standardization.

The state standard contains general requirements that are important to comply with at the stages of receipt, primary processing, preparation, packaging, labeling, transportation, storage of raw materials in the food chain during the production of food products in accordance with the rules of kosher food, the procedure for certification of kosher food products.
