China expects record sales of electric vehicles

August 9, Fineko/abc.az. Sales in China, the largest market for electric vehicles, are expected to break new records this year with rising demand.

The Chinese Association of Passenger Cars has revised the forecast of sales of electric vehicles for 2022 from 5.5 million up to 6 million, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media.

Sales of electric vehicles doubled in July, reaching 486,000 and made up 26.7% of the new car market. And total sales increased by 20% year–on-year to 1.84 million.

Last year’s sales of electric vehicles totaled 2.99 million.
