August 16, Fineko/abc.az. In the six months of this year, 33,500 jobs were created in the country.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 92% of jobs were created in the non-state sector.
Baku accounted for 81.1% of new jobs, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was responsible for 0.4%, and other regions accounted for 18.5%.
A total of 9.4% of new jobs were created in new enterprises and organizations, 89.7% in existing enterprises and organizations, 0.5% in restored enterprises and organizations, 0.4% in other activities.
At the same time, in the six months of 2022, 4,300 jobs were closed in the country. 43.2% of jobs closed during this period were in the non-state sector. 44.8% of jobs were closed due to the suspension of the activities of enterprises and organizations, and 55.2% due to layoffs in existing enterprises and organizations.
