December 21, Fineko/abc.az. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the creation of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. More than 6,000 people are provided with permanent jobs in the park.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov wrote about this on Twitter.

He added that industrial parks make important contribution to sustainable economic growth, development of the non-oil sector and employment.

“So far, residents of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, which is under the jurisdiction of the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry, have invested more than AZN 5.3 bn and plan to invest over AZN 300 million additionally in the development of the park. These investments are intended to create more than 2,000 permanent jobs,” the minister stresses.
