April 16, Fineko/abc.az. RusAtom – International Network and Azerbaijan’s National Nuclear Research Center signed a Protocol of Intentions in the field of personnel training in the joint use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Rosatom informs that the document was signed in Sochi on the sidelines of international forum ATOMEXPO 2019.

"The signed document lays the foundation for bilateral cooperation in areas related to the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. In particular, the Protocol provides for the training of Azerbaijani specialists in the field of nuclear science in higher educational institutions of Russia and training courses for administrative, scientific and technical personnel in various fields of peaceful uses of nuclear energy," the Corporation reported.

The parties also agreed on the organization of joint scientific work: conducting fundamental and applied research, initiating symposia, seminars, expert meetings, technical tours and consultations, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
