Caspian European Club holds B2G forum with participation of Javad Gasimov

April 30, Fineko/abc.az. Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Javad Gasimov has been the guest of the online B2G forum organized by the Caspian European Club. Discussed at the online B2G forum, which lasted for two hours and a half, were the challenges facing entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Besides, suggestions regarding their solution were listened. This news was reported by the Chairman and Group CEO of the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy Telman Aliyev.

 In the course of the virtual discussion, the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Major General Javad Gasimov once again briefly informed entrepreneurs about measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. He noted that vehicles, crossing the customs border, are admitted to the territory of the country after going through several stages of disinfection. To this end, the customs checkpoints have been equipped with all necessary facilities.

 Deputy Chairman of the Committee stressed that import, export and transit operations are performed without any restrictions, all steps are taken in order to facilitate and speed up the border crossing processes of goods and vehicles. At the same time, regular negotiations and exchange of information are carried out with the customs authorities of the neighbor countries in order to ensure the continuity of international trade, an unhindered and rapid passage of goods and vehicles across the border.

 Head of the Main Department for Customs Control and Trade Facilitation at the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic Samad Garalov, Head of the Main Department for Organization of Customs Border Crossing Points Activity at the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic Shahin Alasgarov, a representative of the Azerbaijan Republic Agency for Small and Medium-sized Business Development Sahib Najafov, as well as top-managers of public and private companies representing different sectors of economy also took part in the discussions held at the online B2G forum.

 On behalf of the top managers of the Caspian European Club member companies, the Chairman and CEO of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and all representatives of the economic bloc of the Government of Azerbaijan for the active involvement and support which they provide to entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

 B2G forums, held by the Caspian European Club every month in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan, are a leading tool for a dialogue between the public and private sectors. The mentioned forums also create additional opportunities for an international business networking with top managers and representatives of companies from the Caspian, Black Sea and Baltic regions. Since April 22, B2G forums have been held online every week.

 It should be noted that the purpose of the Customs Service of Azerbaijan is to protect the sovereignty, economic and national security of Azerbaijan, as well as to improve the social welfare of the people, promote international trade, ensure security, collect customs payments and transfer them into the state budget, prevent fraud in customs affairs, and fight international terrorism.
