16:55 - 20.07.2020

July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Entrepreneurs’ issues and proposals, concerning the cooperation with AZERSU OJSC during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, were discussed at the Online Round Table that the Caspian European Club organized with the participation of Anar Jabrailli, Head of the Press Office and Public Relations Department of AZERSU OJSC.

The event began with a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of the Azerbaijani soldiers who died fighting for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

This news was reported by Telman Aliyev, Chairman and Group CEO of the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy.

Having welcomed the participants of the Online Round Table which lasted for over 2 hours, Anar Jabrailli spoke about the work done to improve the drinking water supply of consumers, about the climate change impact on water resources, including the provision of drinking water to the population.

Head of the Press Office and Public Relations Department of AZERSU OJSC, Anar Jabrailli emphasized that important projects on drinking water supply and sewerage have been implemented in recent years under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The commissioning of the Takhtakorpu reservoir, the Takhtakorpu-Jeyranbatan channel, the Jeyranbatan complex of ultra-filtering water treatment plants, and the Oguz-Gabala-Baku water pipeline ensured sustainable water supply to the Absheron Peninsula, including the city of Baku. These projects provided access to high-quality drinking water for residents of the cities of Shirvan, Salyan, Bilasuvar, Sabirabad, Saatli and some villages.

He noted that the drought observed in recent years has caused a decrease in the productivity of drinking water sources in some regions, and therefore alternative sources were created for the cities of Shamakhy, Leki, Tovuz, Gadabey, Lerik. Anar Jabrailli stressed that in such conditions, everyone should consume drinking water sparingly, as well as pay special attention to the use of drinking water for other purposes.

Anar Jabrailli answered the questions of top managers and representatives of the Caspian European Club member companies, listened to their proposals and promised to convey the whole information to the management team of AZERSU OJSC.

On behalf of the top-managers of the Caspian European Club member companies, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev expressed gratitude to Anar Jabrailli for an open and sincere dialogue. Today we had very heated debates and we got answers to a lot of interesting questions and outlined a range of events which will help to solve most of the problems. That is why it was decided to create a joint working group between the Caspian European Club and AZERSU OJSC to promptly discuss issues and proposals of business representatives.

The Online Round Table was created by the Caspian European Club to discuss issues and proposals of entrepreneurs representing different sectors of the economy of Azerbaijan.

According to Telman Aliyev, the Caspian European Club, which brings together over 5,000 companies and organizations from 50 countries, was established in June 2002.
