Azerbaijan restricted import of poultry from 52 countries for Jan-Sept

October 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 9 months of this year the Food Safety Agency (AQTA) imposed restrictions on import of products from 52 countries at epizootic risk, in accordance with the guidelines of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), ABC.AZ reports citing AQTA chair Goshgar Tahmazli at a press conference, dedicated to Agency’s activity for Jan-Sept 2021.

According to Tahmazli, in March and April serological monitoring against brucellosis was carried out among 30,869 cattle kept in 703 farms and family farms in 48 districts. According to lab results, brucellosis was detected in 379 animals, and the necessary measures were taken in accordance with the current legislation.
