April 11, Fineko/abc.az. "36 consignments of crop production from Azerbaijan and Iran infected with quarantine harmful objects were not allowed to be imported into the territory of the Russian Federation."

ABC.AZ reports that according to Rosselkhoznadzor, this March 65,919.2 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits were controlled during import into the Russian Federation.

At Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint on the state border of the Russian Federation, when imported from Azerbaijan and Iran, the organization’s officials carried out primary phytosanitary control on 38,708.3 tons of vegetables (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, lettuce, greens, cabbage, etc.) and 27,210.9 tons of fruits (apples, kiwis, oranges, melons, etc).

The state inspectors of the Caucasian Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor did not allow to import into the territory of the Russian Federation 36 consignments of crop products (25 one sfrom Azerbaijan, 11 ones from Iran), including 432.5 tons of fresh tomatoes from Azerbaijan and 11 tons of Peking cabbage, 129.8 tons of lettuce and iceberg lettuce from Iran.
