April 25, Fineko/abc.az. The next direction of economic policy in Azerbaijan will be the orientation of budget organizations, state-owned companies to local producers.

ABC.AZ reports that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made this statement at conference "The Role of entrepreneurship in economic development", held in Baku and dedicated to the Day of Entrepreneurs.

"When I say local, I mean the source of capital. We would prefer them to be companies with national capital, but they can also be joint ventures. It is no secret that in some cases we haven’t realized these opportunities. In the near future, a new initiative will be launched in this regard, the flagship of which will be the State Oil Company (SOCAR). SOCAR is currently revaluing the value chain, procurement, and supply chain. On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, this work is carried out by the Supervisory Board, the updated management of the company."
