Car sales in Russia decreased by 75%

August 4, Fineko/abc.az. Sales of new passenger cars and LCVs (light commercial vehicles) in Russia in July 2022 decreased by 74.9% (versus July 2021) up to 32,412 cars, according to a study of the Association of European Businesses.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media that a total of 368,850 cars were sold for Jan-Jul 2022 (60.5% less versus Jan-Jul 2021).

The leaders of sales were cars produced by AVTOVAZ. Despite the fact that sales of these cars in July decreased by 68%, to 10,323 vehicles, they occupy the 1st place over the past month. In 2nd place are Kia cars, whose sales in July decreased by 77%, to 3,900 vehicles, and in 3rd place are Hyundai cars, which reduced sales in July by 75%, to 3,400 vehicles.
