August 5, Fineko/abc.az. French President Emmanuel Macron called yesterday his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

ABC.AZ reports that during the phone conversation, Macron expressed concern about the tensions that have arisen in the region in recent days and stressed the importance of Armenia-Azerbaijan further negotiations and implementing the provisions of the trilateral Statement of November 10, 2020.

President Aliyev underlined that Armenia has committed another military provocation, as a result of which our serviceman was killed on the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed. The head of our state said that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces stopped this provocation, took the necessary retaliatory measures, and noted that Armenia bears full responsibility for the tension that has arisen.
