WB to allocate $4.5 bn in aid to Ukraine

August 9, Fineko/abc.az. The World Bank, with the support of funds in the United States, allocated a new tranche of aid to Ukraine in the amount of $4.5 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the WB that this financing package is intended for "urgent needs".

In particular, the financing will help Kiev cover social benefits, medical services and pensions.

The first part of the aid in the amount of $3 bn will be transferred to Ukraine's account by the end of August, the U.S. Treasury informs.
