New Zealand’s central bank raises interest rates again

August 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of New Zealand introduced a policy to combat high inflation in the country, increasing its interest rate by 0.50 basis points to 3%.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to foreign media that the bank has been raising interest rates for already the fourth year.

The bank also released its forecasts for the coming period. Accordingly, while the bank forecasts that the interest rate will peak at 3.69% in the second quarter of 2023, the interest rate will reach 4.1% at the end of the year.
