South Korea's central bank raises interest rates

August 25, Fineko/abc.az. South Korea's central bank raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 2.5%.

Economists also predicted growth by 25 basis points, ABC.AZ reports citing foreign media.

The Bank of Korea raised its inflation forecast for the current year from 4.5% to 5.2%, the highest forecast since 1998.

The bank lowered its economic growth forecast for 2022.
