August 25, Fineko/abc.az. Hungary will buy electricity from Azerbaijan, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto, as quoted by ABC.AZ.

"Azerbaijan will produce a large amount of ‘green’ electricity, which will be supplied via a submarine cable, first to Georgia, then to Romania. And today we agreed that Hungary will join this ambitious plan, because in order for the project to receive EU support, participation of at least two EU member states is a must. Thus, Hungary will be able to use part of this ‘green’ energy to meet its own needs, and send part of it in transit through its territory to neighboring countries,” Szijarto explained.
