September 21, Fineko/abc.az. In the 2nd quarter of 2022, the easing of business lending standards mainly concerned the terms of lending, and in the 3rd quarter the trend is projected to continue.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in Central Bank’s survey on lending activities for Q2.

The banks predicted tightening of business lending in foreign currency in the 2nd quarter, but this policy will be neutral in the 3rd quarter.

The main factor that has mitigating effect on business loan standards in the 2nd quarter of this year was competition with other banks and the bank's current and expected liquidity position.

At that, competition with NBCOs and pawnshops has also had certain softening effect on lending standards.

The tightening effect was mainly caused by expectations regarding inflation, the discount rate and the economy as a whole.
