This country opposes rise in oil prices

September 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Iraqi authorities do not want a sharp rise in oil prices.

ABC.AZ reports that Iraqi Oil Minister & Acting Finance Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar on the air of TV channel Al Ekhbariya.

"We want neither a sharp rise in oil prices nor their slump. We’ve entered in difficult period. Global factors have led to decline in oil prices, the most important of which are decline in economic growth and increase of inflation," he explained.

According to the minister, OPEC and the parties to the OPEC+ agreement are monitoring the situation with prices and are trying to create balance in the market.
