September 28, Fineko/abc.az. A group of 13 EU countries, in a letter addressed to the EU leadership, called for the introduction of price ceiling for any imported gas.

ABC.AZ reports that Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore wrote about this on Tuesday.

"More and more EU countries are joining the calls for price ceiling. This is the only measure that can help all countries combat the effects of inflation ..., to limit the excessive profits of supplier companies," the appeal says.

It was signed by Italy, Spain, Poland, Greece, Belgium, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, and Romania.

"The price ceiling should be applied in the case of all transactions," the letter authors are sure.
