VK apps disappeared from App Store


September 28, Fineko/abc.az. The application of Russian social network VKontakte (VK) has disappeared from the App Store.

ABC.AZ reports that Apple has announced that it has removed VK ecosystem apps from the iOS app store due to sanctions imposed by the UK.

"These applications are distributed by developers, most of which are owned or controlled by one or more parties under UK government sanctions. As part of compliance with these sanctions, Apple has deleted developer accounts associated with these applications," Adam Dema said.

Dima clarifies that now, regardless of the user's location, applications cannot be downloaded from the AppStore. At that, applications can continue to be used if they were downloaded earlier.
