October 4, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan has become the fourth country in the post-Soviet space to officially legalize the purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies.

ABC.AZ reports that among other countries that have legalized digital currencies are Belarus, Ukraine and Estonia.

Now residents of Kazakhstan can make transactions with bitcoin, ether and other digital assets through banks. Under the rules adopted in Kazakhstan, transactions with cryptocurrencies are allowed under a number of conditions.

For example, a crypto exchange must obtain a license, and banks must declare their participation in the project. The authorities spoke of "the highest global standards" for the control of transactions and the security of customer funds.
