Turkey to offer payment system Troy to Russians


October 5, Fineko/abc.az. As an alternative, instead of Russian payment system Mir, its Turkish analogue Troy can be offered.

ABC.AZ reports that in the near future, the Central Banks of Turkey and Russia may make this statement.

As part of the sanctions imposed on the financial system of the Russian Federation, Turkish banks are prohibited from using the Mir payment system.

In turn, Turkey has proposed a new system as a way out of the situation for Russian tourists. The parties are also discussing other ways out of the situation.

Troy is the national payment system of Turkey, which has been used since 2016. As of the beginning of this year, there are over 12 million TROY cards in circulation in Turkey.
