October 7, Fineko/abc.az. Whoever thinks that they need to live as citizens of Azerbaijan, I think they will not regret it.

ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in an interview for the Azerbaijani press in Prague on 6 October after talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"Whoever thinks they need to live as citizens of Azerbaijan, I think they will not regret it. And if for some reason it does not suit someone, then they can choose another place of residence for themselves," President Aliyev stated.

The head of state noted that the soonest conclusion of a peace treaty with Armenia can eliminate the enmity between the countries:

"The five principles of the peace treaty should be initialed as soon as possible, and work on the text of the agreement should begin on the basis of those principles. I’m sure this can be achieved quickly. Because I don't think it should be some kind of multi-volume, it should be a fairly compact document of several articles that defines the parameters of cooperation within international law and international experience. Thus, we will turn the page of war, enmity."
