British Prime Minister resigns

October 20, Fineko/abc.az. Liz Truss has announced that she is resigning as leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of Great Britain.

ABC.AZ reports that she will remain Prime Minister of Great Britain until a new head of government is elected.

"I am leaving the post of leader of the Conservative Party. The new Prime Minister of Great Britain will be chosen within a week," she said.

Liz Truss is leaving the post of Prime Minister after 6 weeks in office. Truss will become the British prime minister who has held the post of prime minister the least in history.
