About 84% of Azerbaijani hotels’ capacity remains unused

October 26, Fineko/abc.az. The use of one-time capacity of hotels made up 16.3% for Jan-Sept 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

In other words, 83.7% of the hotel capacity remains unused. Over the past 9 months, the number of overnight stays spent in hotels (hotels) and hotel-type facilities increased by 1.5 times (versus Jan-Sept 2021) up to 2.046 million stays.

Over the reported term, 53% of overnight stays were registered in Baku, 6.9% in Gabala, 6.2% in Khachmaz, 6.1% in Guba, 4.3% in Gusar, 4.1% in Shabran, 3.7% in Lankaran, 3.1% in Naftalan, 1.8% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1% in Ismayilli, 1% in Gakh, 1.0 in Shemakha, 0.8% in Masalli, 0.7% in Shusha and 6.3% in hotels (hotels) and hotel-type facilities of other cities and districts.
